Birth of a Killer

Larten clenched his fists and looked down. "I have nothing to lose..." he thought. "But what will happen if I do make this choice... Will I become a monster...?"

-----
Before he knew it, Larten found himself on top of the man, his strength coming from pure adrenaline. He furiously thrust the knife he was holding into the man's chest and twisted it. The man screamed bloody murder, giving Larten a sickening feeling of enjoyment that shivered up his spine.
He thrust the knife in and out of the mans chest. Over and over. His anger completely consuming him.
He stopped, breathing heavily. For a split second he caught himself smiling down at the dead man, proud of his work. That smile soon turned to a terrified frown. Shaking uncontrollably, he dropped the knife and looked at his hands. Covered with blood. He turned around and saw the expressions of his fellow laborers, scared for their own lives. The silence coming from the group was so loud it hurt his ears. He looked back down at the man... the corpse. What had he just done...?
-----

"Heh... Will I become a monster?" he laughed to himself. "I already am one."

He looked up at Seba with fire in his eyes. All doubts completely gone. "Yes..." he said.
"Turn me into a vampire."

Yeah... I am uploading this at 2am XDDD

All this really was a experimentation. XD But I liked it enough to be the final peice I'm sending for the contest over at the Darren Shan group.

I was really experimenting will styles, coloring techniques, and lighting for future use and I must say that I'm please the result.

But anywho. The CDF contest is mainly "Young CDF Characters", and since the first installment to The Saga of Larten Crepsley is on its way, (20 MORE DAYS), why not so some art for Birth of a Killer. X3

This scene however *points above to long ass angsty shit* was inspired by the RP I am currently doing on gaia. (A friend and I couldn't stand the wait for the book so a while ago we started a RP for it XD)

Rain

I haven't done something traditional in FOREVER.

Well this was an art project I just finished for my AP art class. The assignment was to create a response to a newspaper article. And since its been SO hot and I simply CANNOT wait for all this sexy rain to come (We're gonna be hit by Earl a bit), I decided to do the weather.

The piece actually has a deeper meaning though. At the time I started this a lot of things from the past came up. And if you notice, the weather in the article is sunny. It stands for, that back then, even on the brightest days, it rained for me.

But yeah, hopefully I'll be able to get some time to work on some more stuff that I personally want to do. I am so swamped with school right now. (I'm seriously thinking of dropping AP Lit because I think it may be too much for be to handle... aka I won't be able to draw for myself anymore).

I'm just glad I was able to upload something after a while. >.<

Done with newspaper, acrylic, ink, and watercolored pencils.
